TIDONG HYDRO POWER LIMITED (‘THPL’)
    HYDRO POWER PROJECT AT TIDONG, HIMACHAL PRADESH

THPL project involves developing a 60 MW Hydro Electric Project in Tidong, Himachal Pradesh.

The client for the project is the Government of Himachal Pradesh (GoHP).

The Partners in THPL are AJRITL and Torrent Power Limited.

The pre-feasibility report for the project has been prepared and submitted to the GoHP, which has since been approved. Geo-Technical Studies, Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Environmental Impact Assessment Studies by THPL are under progress. The preparation of DPR is delayed due to local villagers’ dispute, inadequate access to site and road blockages, unfavourable weather conditions due to high altitude and issues beyond the control of THPL. THPL has requested GoHP for the resolutions of the issues.

The license period for THPL project is 35 years excluding construction period.
