The REL Project comprised up-gradation & widening of a 53 km stretch between Rajahmundry and Dharmavaram in the state of Andhra Pradesh (on the Chennai Kolkata stretch of NH5). The client is National Highways Authority of India. The Partners in the SPV are Gammon and Punj Lloyd Limited. REL started commercial operations in September 2004 (70 days ahead of schedule). REL has a revenue stream that comprises semi-annual Annuity. The concession/ licence period for this project is 17 years and 6 months that runs until November 29, 2019.
